Buy to Let Building Insurance

We are thinking about buying a home in So Cal that is a 4 +2 house on a 10,000 sq ft lot. The house has a pool though, and our concern would be what the cost of insurance would be. The pool is deep, and there is no diving board, and at the present time there is no fence. What do you all think? We have small children, so once we purchase the home, we will put a fence up, but we’re just trying to guesstimate at this point. If anyone has any thoughts, by all means share them! I really appreciate any direction I can get with this. *I would rather not call 50 Insurance agencies to get quotes and have someone selling something I don’t need yet!* Thanks a bunch.

Hi all,

I have mold on my bathroom ceiling. Has had a small patch for a while, however past two days it has increased dramatically!!!

It is right below the bathroom up upstairs (i stay in apartment).

The ceiling has now started sagging.

I have contacted my landlord and he says that it is definetly a insurance job.

But i dont have contents insurance – would it be coverd by builings insurance that my landlord has for my flat???

Help!!!!

I’m just curious if anyone knows the legality of not paying your mortgage when you technically could afford to.

I know someone who lives with her boyfriend who owns a house. The mortgage went up $300-$500 a month. Instead of her helping him cover the costs, they’ve decided to “take advantage” of the whole housing mess, and let him go into forclosure (against everyone’s suggestions I might add). She is now getting a home loan under her name, for them to buy a new house…using the money they’ve saved by NOT paying his mortgage at all this year as the down payment. I understand a lot of people are walking away from their mortgages…but this just seems totally wrong to me, and there should be some sort of legal reason they can’t do this, since they obviously don’t care morally…or don’t care about his credit score. It just feels like they’re spitting on all the people who have worked so hard for their homes and are still losing them.

i want to exchange it for another one because mine is frozen and not working, i tried everything, do you think theyll let me?

I can not afford where I are currently living. I originally bought this house 3 years ago. My wife died in 2006, we had no insurance on her. The payments are to much for me alone.

I have been approved for another loan. I know all about it ruining my credit but can I keep a new house if I do buy another and let the one I am currently in go thru foreclosure?

I can not sell it due to the current market and location of this doublewide. There is no equity in this Doublewide.

The payments are current at this time, and that is why I applied for another loan and was approved.

Would I be able to keep the new house without fear of it being took etc?

I have tried over the past year to sell this, etc. and it will not sell. I have spoken with the bank, and tried to get a refinance to lower payments, with no results.

I have found a house I can afford, and at the same time try to save my emotional self by no longer living in this house where she died.

Can I do this or not?

i have bad credit and have had a ccj within the last 12months will i ever be accepted for a mortgage?

the house is worth about £100.000, they have signed it over to me because i have always helped with the mortgage payments and they now want to help me fiance my business opportunity( which is what the remortgage would pay for).

I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost two years, he lives in his own house and I live in mine, I’ve been hoping that soon we might talk about living together as after years of unsuccessful relationships I feel that this si the man I could really be with long-term.

His wife left him the year before I met him. Apparently she had just come home one day and said that she didn’t love him anymore and was leaving. He was gutted and had to remorgage his house to pay off her half, etc. and I think there was a lot of bitterness on his part, although I don’t really know the complete truth about it only what i’ve gathered.

I always worried that he really hadn’t got over the whole thing, that secretly he still loved her and felt devastated about her leaving him. He didn’t get divorced, he said why should he pay when she left him, at the time I thought fair enough, although if it had been me that had been married and dumped I would want the closure of divorce anyway, the other month when I was at his house I picked up some papers that he had left on the side, one was a letter from his wife’s solicitor saying she had started divorce proceedings and that he was to send thier marriage certificate to them. I couldn’t mention this as i really shouldn’t have been looking at his personal stuff, but what upsets me is he knows i’ve felt insecure about her (I don’t know why lol) so surly he would want to tell me this in order to somehow placate me, showing me that its all over now. Of course now I think its because he is really upset by it and that maybe, deep down he thought they might one day get back together. Am I being totally silly about all this? Am i overreacting? Why hasn’t he mentioned any of this to me? I think if i’m honest I feel that now my trust has been knocked and I wonder what else he isn’t saying.. Any advice would be good thanks!

I was filling out an online insurance quote from Geico. When they ask for date first licensed do they mean your lerner’s permit or your regular license?
