I had a foreclosure happen on an investment property in Feb 2008. My credit score is about 550. Will I be able to get a mortgage on a new primary residence, if I put about 20% down? If not, what time needs to pass, or what does my score need to be before it would be considered?

We are working on a loan modification with our lender. We just found out today that the original 2nd mortgage is getting charged off and was not included in the modification package. What can I do since they never told me the 2nd mortgage was sold to investors and that they can not include it in the modification ? I am a little dumb founded…

I bought a home with an 80/20 loan, I used a 2nd mortgage as a down payment. If I go into foreclosure can I be sued for the 2nd mortgage? I heard that since I took it out to buy the house I can not be sued for it by the bank. I live in California. Also what can I be sued for?

I have weekends and some nights free every week. I work pretty efficiently, and I’m thinking about getting into the mortgage, loan origination, or insurance brokerage industries on the side. Has anybody done this? Is it possible? Any resources you would suggest? I’m really competent with the internet and building websites, and I have a large local audience that I can advertise to. If not, are there any other jobs to think about?

My 1st mortgagor foreclosed & did not pay any to my 2nd mortgage, do I have to continue to pay the 2nd? (State of Tx) Is the secondary mortgage now considered an unsecured loan? I don’t understand why I’m still obligated to pay the secondary if I don’t even own the home any more…. It’s 30k!
Renting a property on a residential mortgage? possible way round?

I’m in the process of buying a property to rent out to students but want to use a residential mortgage (as its cheaper then buy-to-let). I know you have to get permission from the lender in order to do this but the one im going for doesnt allow it. My way of getting round this however would be to say that I’m a live in landlord i.e. when i setup the tenancy agreement I could just put my name in it which would mean for buildings insurance purposes I would be covered. What’s the chances of the bank even finding out whether I live there or not anyway?

I own a house free and clear – valued at about 125,000
I have about $10,000 of bad debt – credit score of 490s
I want a 60,000 mortgage, which I would also completely pay off all my old bad debt (mostly education).
How should I do this? Who would give me a mortgage right now or should I get one for 15,000, pay off everything and then get the rest in about 6 months (whould they do that?)

I want to refinance my 1st mortgage with the same lender, pay off 2nd mortgage from another lender, get cash out for to pay off other loans. Total amount to borrow is $330,000.00. How much should the lender charge to do this?
